What it means to Build, Operate and Transfer to Local communities

Though the schools are fully funded and administered by Schools for India Trust, eventually the local
communities should play a major role in the administration of the school over a period of time.

Schools for India will closely work with the community to ensure that they participate in the running of
the schools.

In certain cases the local communities would be encouraged to fund the running of the schools as well.

The Trust will build the school and effectively run it for a period of fifteen years would encourage the
local community to take over the management within that period.
